Millfield Estates managing the multi million investment at Yorkshire House Liverpool

Millfield Estates Makes Liverpool Debut with the acquisition of Yorkshire House

Millfield Estates have entered the Liverpool property market for the first time with the multi-million-pound purchase of Yorkshire House on Chapel Street. The plan is to transform the former bank building, located in Liverpool’s thriving business district, with an exciting refurbishment.

The renovation will include a complete overhaul of the entrance foyer, landings and vacant suites as well as improvements externally and also to make sure that the building has the right technology for what businesses demand today.

Bolton-based Millfield Estates, the property investment arm of W M L Industrial Holdings Ltd, aims to provide high-grade office space in this central location. To deliver the design-led refurbishment, they have partnered with brand consultants USP Creative.

Originally built in 1926, Yorkshire House offers 24,411 sq ft of office space across seven floors. Current tenants include FMG Consultants, Jayne Moore Media, and the Stellar Group.

The acquisition marks Millfield Estates’ first step into Liverpool as part of its UK-wide expansion strategy. The project is being led by Property Director Paul Dobson, who returns to Liverpool after studying Urban Estate Management in the city.

Paul Dobson commented:
Yorkshire House is an incredibly exciting addition to our portfolio. Our refurbishment plans will give this significant architectural building the high-quality upgrade it deserves. Liverpool is a vibrant city, and we’re eager to attract new tenants who complement the impressive businesses already based here. It really is good to be back!”

Yorkshire House currently offers suites ranging from 880 to 3,100 sq ft, with refurbished spaces available from November 2016.

Simmons McCreedy represented Millfield in the purchase, whilst Worthington Owen acted for the vendors.
